Personal Hotspot Missing on iPhone XS, XS Max? Here’s the Fix

Most iPhone users often reporting that a personal hotspot missing. Personal hotspot features are helpful for all users. Do You Have this issue?  If yes I’m sure that this article will help you to solve your issue. Here, I will share some solutions in the upcoming steps.

Solution 1: Restart your device

  1. Press and hold the volume up and down button once.
  2. And again press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple Logo on the screen.
  3. That’s it.

Solution 2: Turn On/Off Cellular Data

Sometimes the personal hotspot options turned off on your iPhone, make sure to check the option is turned on/off, If not turn it on.

  1. Launch Settings.
  2. And tap on Cellular Data/Mobile Data.
  3. Then turn off the Mobile Data /Personal hotspot option.
  4. After a few minutes, again Turn On the personal hotspot option.

Now the personal hotspot option is visible on your iPhone.

Solution 3: Reset All Settings

  1. Launch Settings and tap on General.
  2. Scroll down the screen and select the Reset option.
  3. Next, choose the Reset all Settings and enter the passcode.
  4. Then again to confirm the process, tap on Reset all settings.
  5. That’s it.

Solution 4: Reset Network Settings

  1. Launch Settings > General.
  2. Scroll down the screen and click the Reset.
  3. And select the Reset Network Settings.
  4. Then enter your Password.
  5. Next again to confirm the process, tap on Reset Network Settings.

Note: This action will delete all WiFi password APN & VPN settings of your iPhone.

Solution 5: Update Carrier Settings

Try to connect the device to the Wi-Fi.

  1. Launch Settings.
  2. Tap on the General option.
  3. Then click the About option. And check if an update is available on your device, then tap Update your carrier settings.

Solution 6: Restore your device

  1. Go to iTunes on your Mac.
  2. Connect your iPhone via Lightning cable.
  3. Then Hard Reboot your Device.
  4. Quickly press and hold the Volume Up Button.
  5. And Press and release Volume Down Button.
  6. Press and hold until you see the iTunes and Lightning cable logo.

Solution 7: Remove APN Changes

Make sure if you had installed any APN’s. If you installed it, try to remove it. Sometimes APN’s code will prevent the hotspot feature from showing up.

If your device still has a warranty date, then move to contact Apple Support for a further replacement.
