One of my friends struggled with the Scan Text feature. Yeah, when she types or fills in any documents on her iPad or iPhone, she gets the Scan Text option instead of the Keyboard. After that we found she is not the only one, Many of them also have this issue. I know it feels like a pain in the neck. Solution 1 Reboot your iPhone 

My friend fixed this issue by using the reboot method. So let’s try it.

  • Press and release the Volume up button once.
  • Press and release the Volume down button once.
  • Now press and hold the Power/Side button until the Apple logo appears on the screen.

Solution 2 Turn OFF Camera access

Sometimes turning off the camera access also will help you to solve this issue. Because if we turn off the camera access from the certain app, it will help to stop the live text feature interfere with your Messages, mail and etc… To do that,

  • Launch Settings on your iPhone.
  • Then scroll down the screen and select Privacy.
  • Now select the Camera option.
  • Now turn off the camera access from the specific apps.
  • This will helps to stop showing scan text in that app.

Solution 3 Turn OFF Live Text Option 

If you still get irritated by this issue, then turn OFF the Live Text feature on your iPhone. To do that,

  • Launch Settings on your iPhone.
  • Then tap on the General and select the Language & Region.
  • Now Turn Off the Live Text option by toggling it. That’s it.

I know this is a very short-term solution for iPhone and iPad shows scan text instead of a Keyboard. We have to wait until Apple will fix this bug.
